Lessons for Regulation

This talk at a Cardiff Business School conference on "Political economy, financialization and discourse theory" poses questions about the everyday political and social organising of market practitioners that serves to cement, deepen and extend their power and influence. The reason for doing so is not only to understand better what caused the financial crisis but also to develop ways forward that could ensure it is not repeated and that finance serves a public purpose.
